Below are the Minimum Network Requirements to use Silo and Toolbox

Authentic8's service is delivered from five Google Compute Engine data centers located around the world. Google leverages more than 70 global network points of presence (PoP) and IP Anycast to efficiently route traffic to and from customer networks.

While Authentic8's Site Reliability team continuously monitors our infrastructure's overall health and service availability, Authentic8 does not control nor have full visibility over the customer's connection quality. In general, the following experience is achieved when the accompanying networking conditions are met below:

  • Optimal -- throughput speeds of 8 Mbps downstream and 4 Mbps upstream, with less than 50ms of latency and < 1% packet loss
  • Standard -- throughput speeds of 4 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps upstream, with less than 100ms of latency and up to 3% packet loss
  • Usable -- throughput speeds of 2 Mbps downstream and 1.5 Mbps upstream, with less than 200ms of latency and up to 5% packet loss
  • Unusable or Unstable -- throughput speeds below the Usable threshold

Please refer to our Silo Traffic Monitor guideline for more details.

End-users may experience delays or freezing when using an internet connection with poor Network condition. In extreme cases, the Silo browser session may experience intermittent disconnects, and will be unable to maintain a steady connection.

While our Customer Support team can help provide troubleshooting guidance for Network performance, it is important to raise Network performance related issues with the customer's respective IT Support channel in parallel.

NOTE: Some countries place additional restrictions on internet connectivity that may impact accessing Authentic8 services.
