Silo Storage
Silo end-users can store data temporarily or permanently within the Authentic8 Cloud Secure Storage, either for personal use or shared collaboration



Configure the File Upload/Download in the Admin Console


1. From the Silo Admin Console, click Manage next to Policies then navigate to Data Transfer > File Upload/Download



2. Click Edit next to the File Upload/Download policy. This policy allows Silo Admins to control file transfer to and from the end-user’s device, Silo Storage, the world wide web, and external file transfer over HTTPS




  • For File transfers to and from user devices, the default value is set to Enabled for trusted devices only
  • For File transfers to and from Silo Cloud Storage, the default value is Enabled
  • Silo Admins can also configure whether end-users can transfer files between their device, Silo Cloud Storage, and from the web.


NoteConfigure each policy with care, as certain configurations can result in one policy undermining another.  



3. Click Save to apply any changes. Policies will take effect after starting a new Silo session

 

External File Transfer
The External File Transfer functionality gives the Silo Admin the option to route file transfer traffic over HTTPS. This feature is handy for HTTPS traffic inspection to and from the client device




The External File Transfer checkbox will display a Warning message. Click Confirm to proceed with the change
